Flute Competition Participant Guidelines
The North Idaho Flute Festival is open to participants of all ages, please see division details below for eligibility. Divisions are open to any persons whose principal livelihood is obtained from non-musical work.
All selections must not exceed a 12 minute performance time.
Participants must utilize legally obtained music scores. It is the responsibility of teachers and students to be sure their music is in compliance with copyright laws. If you have questions about using scores downloaded from sources such as IMSLP, please refer to the ASCAP Licensing web page:https://www.ascap.com/help/ascap-licensing.
Participants must give a copy of their music to the judge when they perform, opened at the proper page with measures numbered.
If accompaniment is needed, participants must arrange with a pianist. We will provide local pianist contact information upon request. For these accompanists, music must be provided at least 2 weeks prior to competition. Students are responsible for arranging rehearsal time and payment directly with the accompanist.
Registration open through September 20, 2024.
